How do we adequately express our heartfelt appreciation for the wonderful effort that all of you serving our children and adults have made in maintaining your quality services to them throughout this virus crisis?
You are impressive! Because of your dedication our patients/clients continued to receive all their needed care without any major interruptions. There were a few clients who wanted services stopped out of fear of having people come into their homes but that was it. We are also extremely thankful that the rate of infection for both our staff and patients has been barely noticeable, a true blessing.
Today you and your patient/client are both receiving a care package of supplies that are intended to help keep both of you safe. If there are any questions on the items uses as need for instruction, please just contact your supervisor. This is our attempt to help keep you safe and a further way of saying THANKS.
We were really happy that we were able to provide hazard pay while our area was in red and yellow status. We were able to do 8 weeks and we provided $265,000 in this additional pay. You earned it!

About Us
MARSCare was founded in 1984 by Gerald F. Szucs, Ph.D.
Dr. Szucs is a past Assistant Secretary of Health in the Office of the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare, in Washington D.C. The Company was originally known as “Mid Atlantic Rehabilitation Services, Inc.” hence the acronym, “MARS.” In 1986, MARS began its history as a staffing agency for Physical and Occupational Therapists. In 1993 services were expanded and we started providing home health services for an adult/geriatric population. Additional expansion efforts continued in 1997 when we wanted to serve more unmet needs of our community resulting in the addition of our Pediatric Services.
In 2006 the doors of Frankie’s World Medical Day Care Center were opened. Frankie’s World Foundation, a 501(c)3, not-for-profit, charitable organization was created to support young children with special medical needs by operating the medical day
care center. The Center provides for the health and well-being of children, ages birth through 12 years, who are medically-fragile, technology-dependent or have been diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses by providing skilled nursing care in a traditional daycare setting.
Today, with the advent of Frankie’s World Pediatric Services (FWPS), we celebrate the fact that we have come full circle! FWPS is the newest collaborative effort of MARSCare and Frankie’s World Foundation. Through a special arrangement, Frankie’s World Medical Day Care Center now offers comprehensive Home Health services in a seamless, easy to navigate fashion. One phone call, one agency for families to navigate along with all the advantages of a facility-based center, our mutual patients now benefit from this new service delivery model. We are now truly, a FAMILY OF HEALTHCARE COMPANIES, dedicated to being at home and/or at our daycare with our families.

Our History
MARSCare is proud to have served Philadelphia and its surrounding counties for 35 years.
MARSCare was started in 1986 by Dr. Gerald F. Szucs, Ph.D; a former Assistant Secretary of Health in the U. S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare. Originally known as “Mid Atlantic Rehabilitation Services, inc.” (“MARS”), MARSCare began as a staffing agency for physical and occupational therapists.
Over the course of several decades, our portfolio of care has expanded to include services tailored for people of all ages: from home health services for seniors, to pediatric services for children with special needs.
MARSCare has also expanded our network to partner with special programs. MARSCare is part of a family of healthcare companies that include MARS Alcohol and Tobacco Prevention and Frankies World Medical Day Care Center. With this network, families can navigate all the advantages of a facility-based center with one phone call.
Our Technology
MARSCare has updated our systems to include a cloud-based Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. This means that our patients (or their legal guardians) can now view their medical records from the comfort of home. And for MARSCare, our employees are able to document health updates in real-time with pre-populated charts tailored to each patient’s needs. This allows our clinicians to easily check-in and check-out, capture patient signatures, record performed tasks, and log vitals in real-time. This exciting change helps your family and our employees stay as current as possible on your care.
